Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Back to Player app (the "App"), operated by Suyash Kansal ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be 18 or older to use the App.
You sign in with your email and password, with your Google account, or (on iPhone and iPad) with your Apple ID. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
You agree to provide accurate profile information.

2. The service

Back to Player helps players find nearby players, book coaching sessions, get expert video reviews, and hold a BTP level. We provide the platform; we are not a party to the coaching sessions or matches, which happen between users.

3. Conduct & safety

Treat other users with respect. Harassment, abuse, or unsafe behaviour is prohibited.
Meet in safe, public courts. We show only an area and an approximate distance, never exact locations.
You are responsible for your own safety when meeting other users. We do not run background checks on players.
You can block or report anyone from their profile, a chat, or a coaching session. Reports are private and reviewed by our team.
No-shows: if two different people report that you didn't show up, our team reviews your account.
Suspension: we may suspend an account that breaks these Terms. A suspended account can't use the App and is hidden from other users; you'll see the reason in the App. To appeal, email us (section 13).

4. Coaches

Coaches are independent providers, not our employees. The "Verified" badge means we reviewed basic credentials; it is not a guarantee.
Coaches set their own rates, availability, and session venue, and are responsible for the quality and legality of their services, including any work with minors.
A coach who cancels a paid session triggers a full refund to the player (section 5). Coaches who cancel or miss sessions repeatedly may lose their verification or be suspended.
Players can rate a coaching session from 1 to 5 stars after it ends. A coach's average and number of ratings are shown to players; any written note goes privately to the coach.

5. Bookings, payments & cancellations

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Prices are shown before payment and are computed on our servers. We may charge a platform or service fee; if we do, it will be disclosed before payment.
If you (the player) cancel, your booking is non-refundable. You can cancel up to the session's start time; the slot is released to other players.
If the coach cancels a paid session, you get a full refund automatically, to your original payment method. Refunds usually reach your account within 5–7 working days.
If the coach doesn't show up, report it from the session in the App within 7 days. If our review confirms it, we refund the session in full.
Any other cancellation or refund is at our sole discretion. Approved refunds go to the original payment method.
Each session shows its venue; you and your coach can message each other in the App to arrange the details.

6. Video reviews

You may upload short gameplay clips (up to 30 seconds) for an expert review by our team or an assigned coach. You confirm you have the right to upload the footage and that it does not violate anyone's privacy or rights.
Review notes are opinions to help you improve, not professional guarantees.

7. BTP levels

Your BTP level (Beginner to Pro) is set by a Back to Player reviewer from a gameplay clip you send. You can't set your own level.
After that, verified match results between rated players can move your level. A result only counts when both players report the same score.
External rankings you add (UTR, NTRP, ATP/WTA) are shown to reviewers as context; they don't set your level by themselves. Do not abuse the rating system — false reports can lead to suspension.

8. Content & licence

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it to provide the service (for example, to deliver your clip to the reviewer).

9. Prohibited use

No illegal activity, scraping, reverse engineering, spamming, impersonation, or attempts to work out other users' locations.

10. Disclaimers & liability

The App is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for interactions between users off-platform. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account (or see how to delete your account). We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms (section 3).

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India; disputes are subject to the courts of New Delhi.
